The Jacksonville Home + Patio Show returns to transform downtown’s Prime Osborn Convention Center September 28-October 1, 2017. The show packs four days with home improvement ideas, interior design tips, cooking stage, DIY and interactive seminars and the hottest new products. So what are the top 5, not-to-be-missed must see features at the show?  

1. Celebrity Guests.
This year, come check out Kevin O’Connor from PBS’ This Old House and John and Whitney Spinks from Florida Flippers.Older homes come with a specific set of quirks and challenges and as longtime host of This Old House, Kevin O’Connor has seen it all. He shares years of wisdom gleaned from historic home renovations with show guests on Friday and Saturday at the Inspiration Stage.

North Florida’s own John and Whitney Spinks went from DIYers to TV designers on HGTV’s Flipping The Block and Florida Flippers. Today, they’re successful Realtors, contractors and designers. They’ll share their top flip tips on Saturday, September 30 at 1 p.m. at the Inspiration Stage.

2. Tiny Homes Are Back 
Don’t forget to head out to the Courtyard to check out the Tiny Home that guests can tour. The fascination with small-space living continues to thrive, and the tiny home display will be open for tours so consumers can check out what living in 500-square-feet would be like. Plus, this tiny home is the first LEED certified in the nation. Tiny Homes provided by Norsk Tiny Houses.

3. Kitchen Heats Up
One of the show’s new features is Kitchen Wars. Local companies battle to see which kitchen design will capture the most votes. Competitors will showcase the latest trends and accessories.

4. Hero Day 
On Friday, September 29 the show celebrates local heroes – retired and active duty military, first responders, EMTs, firefighters, police, JEA, Beaches Energy and Florida Power and Light employees and teachers receive complimentary admission to the show (with a valid ID).

5. Neighborhood Party 
The Jacksonville Home and Patio Show is hosting a “neighborhood party” on Saturday, September 30 with a special appearance from PBS’ Nature Cat. Bring the kids for the photo opps and for meet and greet just for them. Kids under 5 get free admission to the show on Saturday (and every day of the show).
